Our fixtures typically are not suited for shipping via small package companies like UPS, Fedex, or Priority Mail; they must ship on a truck. All shipping and freight charges are the responsibility of Customer and shipped FOB/FCA from St Joseph Michigan 49085.
Freight rates are determined by the 3rd party trucking companies and passed along at current cost. Freight (truck or air) shipments are calculated and charged along with crating or pallet charges on the final invoice from Stonegate Designs just before shipment.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide accurate shipping instructions. Please note that all trucking companies charge additional fees for delivery appointments and lift gate trucks and sometimes for difficult or unusual delivery locations.
Crating may be necessary to protect product. Crate charges will be added to the final invoice. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to confirm that the volume of the shipment will fit through all entryways.
Please inspect all boxes and all fixtures immediately upon delivery, regardless of when they will be installed. All freight claims are the responsibility of the receiver and obvious or concealed damage must be noted and signed for upon receipt and must be reported to us within 1 week of delivery, preferably sooner.
We cannot be responsible for carrier damage that was not noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery or claims that are sent to us more than 1 week after delivery. All damaged goods should be held with original packaging material intact until after inspection is completed by the carrier.
Any shipping errors must be reported within 3 business days of the receipt of the shipment.
New accounts are established based on Stonegate Designs approval. A written purchase order must be submitted along with your state's tax resale certificate for consideration. Stonegate Designs only sells wholesale to the trades to companies with valid tax resale certificates, we do not sell retail and can not collect sales tax.
Standard payment terms are: 50% deposit at time of ordering to begin shop drawing and production phases, with the balance of the invoice paid prior to shipment.
All proforma accounts require a 50% deposit and the balance of the invoice paid prior to shipping regardless of the order being for standard or custom designs. All applicable freight and additional costs will be added to the final invoice.
All quotations are firm for a period of 30 days. After 30 days the quote can be reviewed and may require a re-quote based on current costs. We will make every effort to hold quoted prices.
Light bulbs are not included with our socket-based fixtures or in our prices. It is the customer’s responsibility to source light bulbs as needed.
Custom orders require a 50% deposit. The balance of the invoice is due prior to shipment. Custom orders are non-cancellable once deposit is paid. Production of any custom order will begin when the 50% deposit is received and the CAD drawing has been signed and approved by the purchaser and returned to Stonegate Designs.
Hold for release orders are not accepted without a confirmed ship date and a 50% deposit paid. Order will not be entered and materials cannot be purchased until a confirmed ship date and deposit is received.
All orders are non-cancellable after deposit since they are built to order.
Our lead time to build to order is typically 11-13 weeks after deposit, approximately 3 to 4 months after payment. Please plan accordingly when writing a specification or placing an order.
We make every effort to ship in a timely manner based on an acknowledged ship date. In some cases, the acknowledged ship date may not be met due to unforeseen circumstances. We cannot be responsible for late charges incurred as a result of a missed ship date or delivery date.
Backorders will be processed and shipped once all items on the order are ready and available for shipping. It is not our policy to back order. If purchaser requests shipment of one item on the order and requests a back order freight charges for each item will apply.
All Stonegate Designs Products are made to order and are not returnable.
All products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of shipment. We will repair or replace any defective product at our discretion. We are not responsible for any labor charges or electrical charge backs. Finishes may vary slightly due to the uniqueness of each piece. Fabrics will have natural irregularities and may not be defective but rather be characteristics of the fiber. Due to fabric dye lots we cannot guarantee consistency for product ordered at different times.
We retain the right to change, discontinue, or modify the design of standard and custom product at any time based on current circumstances. We're human, all efforts have been made to avoid errors in descriptions, dimensions, and specification info - still sometimes errors do happen. We do not accept responsibility for labor or other charge backs resulting from specification errors or updates. Always refer to our written quotations and our order shop drawings for current product details.
CUSTOM SIZES
Request of custom sizes, if accepted, are confirmed in writing by Stonegate Designs. Additional charges for engineering drawings and materials will apply. Custom pieces cannot be cancelled.
FABRIC
Stonegate Designs offers a variety of man-made and natural fibers; each selection is based on a variety of characteristics including texture, light fastness, color fastness, workability, color options, etc. Natural fibers, such as silk dupioni, silk shantung, China silk, raw silk, silk pongee, and textured silk will have natural irregularities that are visible to the naked eye. Silk worm threads and slubs in the final weave are normal and natural; they are not imperfections, but merely a characteristic of the fiber, which illustrates the origin of the fabric. Fabric dye lots may change and are not guaranteed to match if items are ordered at separate times.
WOOD
Stonegate Designs selects each wood for its unique characteristics; including variances in color, tone, and texture, which are normal and not considered a flaw. Size and shape of knots, mineral streaks, or unique grain patterns may cause slight color variations, including light and/or dark spots; all are normal and not considered defects.
METAL FINISHES & GLASS
Metal finish and glass colors may vary slightly due to the uniqueness of each piece.
All use of Stonegate Designs products images for any purpose is strictly forbidden including the use for selling online, if not previously authorized in writing by Stonegate Designs. Each authorization is given only for the requested purpose.
Product supplied shall be sold only by the Buyer at the location of the SHIP TO address. No transshipping is allowed. A breach of the above policy shall entitle Stonegate Designs, at its discretion, to discontinue shipments to the Buyer.
