Born in Madrid, with an over 35 year career history in the lighting industry, 20 of which residing in the USA, Gonzalo developed a good global vision of the differences and opportunities in both markets.

With a solid background in engineering and product development, he designed original products marketed by his company and later contributed to the expansion and success in the market of other well know international companies in the industry. His background includes a successful track record of introducing innovative European lighting products in the American market. Since 1986, he has pioneered halogen products such as under-cabinet miniature lighting, adjustable halogen pendants with color glass shades, and low and line voltage systems, among others, which became standard commodities in the lighting industry.

His innovative lighting design ideas contributed to the expansion and success of companies such as Hubble Lighting, W.A.C. Lighting, Ardee Lighting, Bruck Lighting, The Minka Group, Juno, Jesco Lighting Group, Oggetti Luce and Lightolier among others.

In 2006 one of his collections received the ADEX Award for Design Excellence.
